Reality TV Show Dramas!

So there is no doubt, many of us like catching up on reality TV shows, but don’t we love the dramas?!?  I think so.  Let’s flip the switch to the outlandish but juicy “Real Housewives of New Jersey” or check out the latest trash talking and crazy antics on “Keeping up with the Kardashians”.  Bloop!  Here we go.

Regrettably, there is more than one reality TV shows we just have to watch weekly or daily, our views vary constantly.  A majority of viewers feel the need to catch up on “Big Brother” or megahit “American Idol”.  Secretly, I admire some motives of “American Idol” but personally don’t watch it.

Reality TV shows are difficult to turn away from, they are EVERYWHERE!  It seems more and more reality TV shows are produced and aired.  “Dancing with the Stars”, “Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List” and the “Real World” series are just a few that seem to have longevity in the television realm.

The juicier and more drama make the shows even better.  Either attempting to flip a table in the middle of a fiery dinner and argument is enough on Bravo or fist pumping with oily, jelled hairstyles and wearing flashy clothes at trendy bars and clubs creates popularity on MTV—it is all about producing entertaining television to attract viewers to form pools of loyal audiences.  That is why many of us tune into what we want to watch.  Viewers who surf channels to favorite reality TV programs secretly crave the drama because it is either a source of escape or form of entertainment.

All in all, reality TV is here to stay for a long period of time.  It is a change many people have adapted to or refuse to admit.  Perhaps, reality TV could possible trump many legendary or good cable or nationally broadcast TV programs.  Ouch!  It is sad but maybe true.

Let the Katy Perry-mania begin

The countdown to colorful pop star Katy Perry’s new CD, “Teenage Dream” has begun. The album is slated to be released Tuesday, August 24.

She may have kissed a girl and liked it, but now she wearing short-shorts and mini bikinis on her top. Perry has created a new image to her updated sound with an upcoming CD that maybe one of her best yet.

“Teenage Dream” features a string of recent hits some include the megahits “California Gurls”, “Teenage Dream” and the newly release song via YouTube and mp3 mogul iTunes, “Not Like the Movies”. These new ditties may sound similar to her songs from “One of the Boys” but add some new color to her new spunk and flare. Perry probably has outdone herself this time on her second CD with Capitol Records.

Will you pick up a new copy of her jams? I certainly will and take a few listens on repeat when I get my hands on the release.

Bring it on Katy; we will be here where you know a place where the grass is always greener.

Crossover artistry

Standby; lights, camera, action, mic check? It is becoming a trend that many celebrities are crossing over in their career paths and have for years. Let’s just take a moment to gather opinions and thoughts about this topic of sudden interest.

Hilary Duff has been a fortunate celebrity whom has successfully made a huge transition; from an actress and accomplished singer. Now not only has she sold an estimated 13 million CD’s according to many sources including the website Wikipedia, she has also starred in movies—a few including “A Cinderella Story”, “Cheaper by the Dozen” and “The Lizzie McGuire Movie”. Although numerous critics may fault her for some of her movie or television roles, she made a landmark in the movie and TV industry. Additionally, she has brands too which a few are her fragrances “With Love” and “Wrapped with Love” as well as her breakthrough fashion brand Stuff by Hilary Duff. She has been daring yet logical with her career endeavors and has bravely accomplished a lot of the unthinkable. Not only does she have those notches fastened on her belt she has a few more projects in the works including a release of a book and a denim line with DKNY as a blog to mention, Just Jared reported.

Then another accomplished mogul, triple-threat, the incomparable Justin Timberlake dealt his creativity to the world and saw success. He has starred in movies such as “Alpha Dog”, “The Love Guru” and “Shrek the Third” just to name a few. In addition to a lucrative acting career, he also has brands such as his fashion line William Rast and expanded into restaurants Destino and Southern Hospitality as mentioned on the infamous, updateable wikisite Wikipedia. Need I say more? Although he has many business ventures and sought out endeavors, he will remain another prime example of a crossover celebrity.

Additionally, another celebrity who has created success upon taking risks; whom has been mentioned to be one of the most successful black women in the world—none other than Oprah Winfrey. Not only has she been supposedly reported to be the richest black woman in the world, according to Forbes magazine and other sources, she paid her dues but yearned for success. Seeing can lead to believing when it comes to her. Winfrey has her successful daytime talk show which has been on air for more than 20 years and reportedly in syndication, she has numerous books, magazines, open an African school academy for girls, starred in films including the hit “The Color Purple” and a plethora of multiple ventures. Let’s face the facts before rambling anymore—she is a mogul and a powerhouse when resulting as a household name.

Whew! Perhaps the following statements seem a bit long-winded and informative. However, many of you should get the point. At times, when celebrities see money as a growing point, then they will seek business opportunities to accomplish multi-million or multi-billion dollar success. Some of us got to give a hand to many celebs for having smarts for thinking ahead of the career-success game.

When do celebrities say NO to the paps?

Now many of us know or have seen Lindsay out and about in LA (Well not lately considering her rehab and jail stint) or Britney looking fierce in recent articles as she strutted into a recording studio. Well, the question may remain for many wondering people, “When do celebrities say no to attention from the paparazzi?”

Shall we open this up for opinions? We shall.

OK so maybe many celebs say no to the paparazzi anytime, any day. Who would want to be followed and photographed at every, simultaneous moment of everyday? Well Heidi Montag (Post first plastic surgery) comes to mind or the funny and outlandish Kathy Griffin (Which her motives are funny and a bit quirky).

Publicity can be a beautiful thing…sometimes. When celebrities are photographed to boost their careers, it can be annoying yet tactful. Some may do this because it brings them in false light or leads to destruction to their careers (Oh wait, those are bad yet truthful points of view).

Well, all humor aside; paparazzi can be very annoying but they tend to help celebrities careers whether they intend to or not. So the next time celebrities are captured on a YouTube paparazzi video I will not judge, I will quietly say, “Told you so.”

Warning! I like celebrities so any sarcastic remarks were intended to sound as jokes.

Introductory Celeb Fanatic Post #1

Either many of us or some of us are fascinated with celebrities' lifestyles. For some odd reasons, celebrities fascinate me especially from my tender, reminiscent years as a teenager. Additionally, it must be difficult to admit that many of us fantasize a desire to emulate our favorite celebrities. Perhaps I am not the only one who has these thoughts (whew, thank goodness)

As if picking up a tabloid from a magazine rack was not difficult enough. I will admit there were times I wanted to emulate stars some including Britney Spears, the Kardashians (I mean let's face it Kim, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian are detected under the celeb radar) or even the vocal-powerful motivational divas Christina Aguilera and Pink.

Besides the fact that it sounds silly and funny, it can be true; a vast majority of people (including myself) are enticed by the glitz and glamour of the rich and famous.

So furthermore let's not pretend anymore. When many of us people (in particular, people who want to break free from their catastrophic, stressful lives) and role play in a Lady Gaga concert or re-enact a love scene with heartthrobs Zac Efron or Taylor Lautner (which would be ideal for so many people) we should be able to daydream and play scenarios of make believe. Do not deny that you have not though of these at least once because we are not alone.
